Dumbfounded, flabberghasted and everything in between...

There are good surprises and there are bad surprises. Yesterday I got one of the good kind of surprises. Scratch that. It was a GREAT surprise. Here's what happened:

I wake up at around 4pm. It's become sort of a habit now. I'm famished so I decide to eat lunch/breakfast/dinner as soon as possible. I have a lovely nasi briyani buhara lunch (since I figured that I wouldn't be able to enjoy such delicacies for much longer) when I receive a call from my friend Nicky.

"Hey, you busy right now?"
"Well, no, not really. I'm just having lunch," quoth I.
"Great! Can you come with me to KL? I have to buy a present for my brother"
"Oh? Ok, sure, I'm game"

I needed an excuse to get away from the tedium that is my Political Science project anyway. So I speed off to Puchong, pick Nicky up and head for KL.

So, we rush around Sugei Wang (THE place to go for all sorts of cool gadgetry...in KL, leastways) searching for the perfect present. Nicky had his heart set on a Nintendo DS, and I was pretty psyched too when I saw the machine. So after much haggling and bickering with the storekeep, we finally got the DS down to a price that everybody was reasonably happy with.

At this point things begin to get weird. Nicholas looks at me with the weirdest look and says:

"Hey, this is for you, brother"

My jaw drops to the floor and my brain shuts down. For hours after that I was unable to speak properly or get this insane looking grin off my face. Apparently, alot of people were in cahoots to render me into a slack minded simpleton: Nicky, Teddy, Aspar and Aneep. God damn you guys. That was the best birthday surprise ever!

I'm still grinning like an idiot and it's beginning to scare off a lot of people...

Rumoku out!

PS...maybe I'll post pictures later...if I can figure out a way to get around the painful process of adding pictures...
