The long haul...
Yesterday, April 17th, shall live on in history as a day of miracles. Or infamy. I haven't quite decided yet. After a long exhausting weekend (which included a kenduri doa selamat (which, for non malay readers is a sort of ritual prayer gathering to wish a safe expedition)) I get home and feel that not all is right with the world. It was then that I remembered that my parents' anniversary is up again. Jinkies! The last time I forgot my mom threw a tantrum that would have put King Kong to shame.
A quick email saved my ass this time 'round, but that in itself is not why April 17th would count as a miracle. No, April 17th would count as a day of miracles because...MY DAD ACTUALLY REMEMBERED HIS ANNIVERSARY! And worse: He actually bought flowers. For 17 whole francs! That'd be a small fortune in Mongolia! I swoon at the possibity of what this portends. The world my very well be ending.
The funny thing is that my mom got a bit upset and called him cheap...heh heh heh. There's no pleasing some people.
As for myself, I'm busy building a small shuttle that would jettison me into the safety of another world should everything go pancake. Maybe I'll even gain super powers to boot.
Rumoku out!
