The Rumoku-man and the Sea....

Went trawling through a second hand book shop the other day and saw some BEAUTIFUL books. The shopkeep thought that I was having an orgasm and kept giving me the dirty eye. Damn neophyte....doesn't see the beauty of books. The book that I wanted most was a leather-bound gold leaf copy of The Once and Future King. Goosebumps rise at the mere memory of it's beauty. Unfortunately, I had no money. ^_^. I suppose I could have seduced the shopkeep, but not even my sensibilities would have allowed for that. She was over 40 and reminded me a bit of Jabba the Hutt. All those wrinkles...*shudder*.

In the end I walked off with a copy of "The Old man and the Sea" by Ernest Hemmingway. Yeah, I've already read it, but it's one of those books that you have to read every once in a while to keep life in perspective. Because at the end of the day it's nice to believe that even the insurmountable is merely difficult when confronted with the correct perspective and will. It's nice to believe.

Rumoku out!
