The Greatest Nightmare ever...courtesy of Technology
Holy Crap! That's the mildest of terms that pops into my head right now. If there was ever a time that I hated technology this would be it. Technology, you can suck my balls.
I have been stuck in front of this damned computer for a good portion of my weekend. And Monday. Roots have now grown between my computer chair and my plush derriere. And why? Because I have been frantically trying to finish off my evil, evil take home history of modern ideas exam. It's like a miniaturized version of Hell.
But I was fine when I finished the paper at 2am. Satisfied with the essays that I had written (there were four of them, each amounting to 1000 words), I was ready to sleep most of the day away and hand the paper in when I woke up (at around 2pm...). I get a call at 4am from a friend asking me to help him out with his essay. I told him to gimme 5 more minutes (it takes me that long to wake up). In that interim period, another friend calls me up. She's asking the same thing of me. So I drag my ass back to the terminal and switch on the infernal machine. But wait, when did I switch it off before? I didn't. Somehow, the computer had rebooted itself and the worst part of it is...I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO SAVE! So around 3/5ths of my work (maybe more) is now down the drain. It is now 5:30am and I am screwed. And this is the second time I'm writing this bloody blog update because my computer restarted again. I has done this four times since I started work again at 4:30. At this rate, I may not be able to finish in time. In fact, even under ideal conditions I may not be able to finish this in time (remember that I took most of the weekend to write up those essays, so there is almost no way in hell that I can finish it by 4pm today). The horror, the horror!
So once again, Technology, you can suck my balls...
Rumoku out
PS: If anybody ever says that having take home exams is better than having a sit in exam to my face again, I will gut them and leave their heads on poles for the crows to fight over.
